148 Elmendorf et al.: Arboriculture and Urban Forestry Education in the U.S. provides evidence that many of the broader educational topics important to this profession are not considered important. These findings may provide insight into the traditional and conservative attitudes of the profession and indicate a lack of understanding of the importance of the multi-skills and broader educational topics crucial to urban forestry by both arboriculture and urban forestry educators.
