That’s all I can say three days removed from the 2014 ALOA Convention & Security Expo, which was held in my home area of New Or- leans. We had good class participation and good feedback on instructors, and we received great class suggestions for next year. We had a mostly successful rollout of the new PRP testing system with only a few glitches, which I suppose is to be expected when you switch from a 30+ year-old system to something new (and the glitches that were discovered in Lexington at SAFETECH did not recur, so the third-party test partner is fixing them quickly). The food was still the incredible food I grew up with at places like Mulate’s, Huck Finn’s and Le Lousianne Kitchen. And, of course, the fun, music and people at Lucy’s Retired Surfer Bar, the Famous Door, Tippitina’s and the Cat’s Meow (thanks for a great time, Nick and crew). What? You didn’t go to ALOA 2014? Well, I believe you really missed the boat on this one.
