The cybersecurity market will reach $262 billion in global spending by 2026.1 There are now 5.5 million professionals working in cybersecurity globally.2 There is still a gap of 4 million cybersecurity industry professionals3 Wages are consistent across the USA and Europe. A senior level cybersecurity analyst (8+ years of experience) in Germany earns an average salary of 119.338 € or $126,000 in USD.4 The number of open cybersecurity jobs increased 350% increase from 2017 to 20255 Spending on data privacy and cloud security are projected to grow 24% in 20246 Information security analyst jobs are projected to grow 35%, making it the eighth-fastest-growing occupation in the U.S., according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).7 The APAC region’s cybersecurity workforce saw an increase at 15.6%, however, the workforce gap grew by 52.4% or 2.16 million workers.8 The Middle East and Africa’s cybersecurity workforce grew by 11.7% to 401,582.9 A cybersecurity salary is approximately 16% higher than a similar non-security IT job.10 There are 7,523 Chief Information Security Officers in the US in 2023.11 56% of U.S. and 40% of European CISOs say their ideal next role would be as a board member.12 Cybersecurity job creation surged 60% across the entire Australian business sector.13 1 Kapko, M.
