Community Building without Hazing Stevens is committed to maintaining a safe campus environment and enforces a zero-tolerance policy for hazing. Student safety and well-being remain a top priority. Hazing in all its forms by any member of the Stevens community is strictly prohibited as outlined in the Policy on Hazing and in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. The University policy defines prohibited behaviors, outlines enforcement procedures and penalties, and provides clear guidance for reporting. All members of the Stevens community are required to report known or suspected hazing promptly. Emergencies involving hazing should be reported immediately to Campus Police: 201.216.3911. Prevention Programs Stevens Institute of Technology maintains a zero-tolerance hazing policy, consistent with federal and New Jersey law, that applies to all students and student organizations, including fraternities, sororities, and athletic teams, and is enforced through the Student Code of Conduct. The policy defines prohibited conduct, reporting and investigative procedures, and disciplinary processes and sanctions for both individuals and organizations. The University requires evidence-based hazing and alcohol prevention education through Vector Solutions—including AlcoholEdu for University and Hazing Awareness and Prevention for Students— for all first-year undergraduates, student- athletes, and fraternity and sorority new members. Training completion is centrally tracked and incorporated into eligibility and participation requirements. As of Spring 2026, all fraternity and sorority members and athletic teams achieved 100% completion of required training. Compliance is supported through coordinated oversight by Student Life and Athletics, chapter accreditation and eligibility processes, participation standards, and in-person hazing prevention programming. Required hazing prevention presentations recorded full fraternity and sorority participation in Fall 2025, and all employees completed training on recognizing, preventing, and reporting hazing. In accordance with federal and New Jersey law, all hazing policies, reporting procedures, resources, and reports are publicly available online. Hazing Transparency Report The University maintains a Campus Hazing Transparency Report (CHTR) to help students and families make informed decisions, along with hazing prevention resources. Updated at least twice a year, it lists each student organization found responsible for hazing, key dates, a description of the incident, and any sanctions imposed. Reporting Hazing All members of the Stevens community (faculty, staff, students) and all Organizations must report any known or suspected hazing promptly and immediately to Campus Police. Alumni, parents, or other individuals may also report suspected violations. Reports can be made via Stevens’ hotline at 855.277.4065 or the Compliance 27 — Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
