There are links for both on the Convention tab on www.ALOA.org. Security Expo This year, the Security Expo falls on a Saturday and Sunday. This is a chance for some of you to not lose as many weekdays away from your shop/business for travel. Some of you have been asking for this, so here’s your opportunity! There will be giveaways throughout the Expo, with the grand prize of a five- day education package to ALOA 2025 in Orlando being given out in the last hour on Sunday. You must be present, so stick around for a chance to win. But more than the giveaways, low hotel prices or the show deals you may get, the truly special parts of the convention are the people you meet. I hope you make it there and see how special this event is, and be sure to stop by the ALOA booth to say hello. A S MENTIONED BRIEFLY IN THE LAST issue, SAFETECH 2024 was a resounding success. Our attendance was fantastic, the venue was well received, and the instruction was top-notch. On top of that, we raised about $16,000 for SAVTA at the Friends of SAVTA Live Auction, and everyone had a great time. Thank you to everyone who made the event such a success, from instructors and the SAVTA Board to attendees, staff and volunteers. In the Main Event column in this issue, you’ll see a few photos and a short recap of the event. If you weren’t there, hopefully this gives you a little taste of what the convention is like.
