Cagle II, CRL, CAL, CAL Whether you are just beginning to delve into the automotive locksmith realm or looking to explore deeper into this most dynamic aspect of our profession, this course has been developed with you in mind. The class will include examples and descriptions of key programmers, remote programmers, various testers’ literature, technical manuals, and resources as well as their strengths and weaknesses. The interactive portion of the class will focus on the identification, decoding, and organization of conven- tional keys and their related transpon- der systems. You will understand and know how to address common and unusual key problems through inter- active modules. Intermediate Foreign Auto Mannie A. Natal, CRL, CMAL, CAI, and Tony R. Cagle II, CRL, CAL, CAI This class has been developed with the experienced locksmith in mind. It is the next step in the progression of not just making keys to vehicles, but also identifying and correcting problems that arise in conventional keyway for- eign vehicles. There will be a lecture, demonstration, discussions and, more importantly, interactive modules where the students will familiarize themselves with the actual keys, lock and immo- bilizer systems presented during the lecture portion of the class. Mercedes-Benz 3-Day Locksmith Workshop (3-Day Class) Rafael Marte CRL, CAL, CPS, CAI, and Jason Jaudon, CAL, CAI This three-day class is designed to further educate experienced automo- tive locksmiths on Mercedes-Benz immobilizer key systems. Attendees will receive an overview of different Mercedes immobilizer systems and IR key programming procedures as well as EIS module identification. Students will be familiarized with XHorse VVDI MB, Autel IM608 and Abrites programmers during the FBS3 key origination and programming demonstrations. Students will have the chance to pick and decode MB 10-Cut locks with a Lishi pick and get an up-close view of the Chrysler Crossfire ignition lock repair. Other material includes EIS/ELV removal and the ELV emulator programming process. Honda High Security Locking Systems — Servicing and Repairs Jennifer Richards, CRL, CMAL, CAI, and Dan Florko, CAI The Honda High Security servicing and repair class will cover Honda’s high security locking systems, how they are structured, including cutting keys and tumbler placements. The class will focus on removing and repairing all vehicle lock cylinders. The class will be a mix of lecture and hands-on instruction. Students will have the opportunity to work with door, trunk and ignition cylinders from vehicles produced from 2003 through current keyed vehicles. Completion of this class will give the students enough knowledge to com- petently service these vehicles in their day-to-day businesses. History of High Security/ STRATTEC Update/Pinning of Internal 2-Track Locks Jeff Baker, CAI, and Edward R. Woods, CML, CPS, CMAL, CAI This class is a joint venture with STRATTEC (Jeff Baker) and Ed Woods. First, there will be a presentation on the history of high security and all of the eight styles. Included is the evolution and what is used in today’s GM, Ford, Chrysler and foreign auto manufactur- ers. We will then review STRATTEC updates and, most importantly, the hands-on pinning exercises including the all-new 2020 Ford internal two- track keyway used on the new 2020 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair. Igni- tion and door repair kits for Ford and GM will be assembled into fully func- tioning locks. Once you understand the inner workings of the locks through theory and hands-on assembly, we will break out the tools used to pick and decode them. For the most part, Lishi and Accureader tools will be used in the afternoon practice session. Bill is an IC specialist, an industry author, the subject matter expert on IC for ALOA, and an ALOA ACE instructor, teaching classes on interchange- able cores and master keying across the country. He has originated SFIC Technical Manuals for both national and international lock manufacturers, and maintains a working relationship with the major lock and security manufacturers throughout the world.
