The Center for Health and Wellness Campus Hall, Rooms 123, 126 & 127, 718-390-3158 The Center for Health and Wellness is an integrated service for Wagner College students. The Health Center is a screening, diagnostic and treatment center staffed by Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses. In the case of a prolonged illness, students must be under the care of their private Primary Care provider. We also provide wellness health screening, education and anticipatory guidance. When students need continued medical treatment prescribed by their Primary Care provider, a written order from their provider should be filed in the Center for Health and Wellness. The Center provides continuity of care for students already receiving prescription medication from a physician at home with proper documentation of treatment. The Center for Health and Wellness offers counseling services for undergraduate students. Students with longstanding or specialized diagnoses may be referred to professional resources in the community. Counseling services are available during the Fall and Spring semesters and are staffed by a Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Workers; referrals can be made to Psychiatric Prescribers off-campus if needed. The Center for Health and Wellness observes a policy of confidentiality in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The Center for Health and Wellness does not provide long-term care, court-ordered treatment, or counseling that is involved in litigation. The Center is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM, Fridays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00
