13 GETTING INVOLVED AT WAGNER Fraternity and Sorority Life Fraternities and sororities have been an important element of the Wagner College community since 1931. Wagner College believes involvement in fraternities and sororities is one of many ways to enhance the quality of life for students by providing a range of opportunities for meaningful individual involvement, development, and growth. Further, the College also believes fraternities and sororities are organizations that are committed to educating members and potential members about the ideas of scholarship, community service, leadership, brotherhood and sisterhood, personal integrity, and social development. Each fraternity and sorority must complete a comprehensive accreditation process in order to maintain their recognition at the college. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body for the social fraternities that are recognized at Wagner College. Currently, the following social fraternities are recognized by Wagner College: Tau Kappa Epsilon, and Theta Chi. The National Panhellenic Council (NPC) is the governing body for the social sororities that are recognized at Wagner College.
