Additionally, violations may be referred to law enforcement agencies for prosecution under applicable federal and state laws. Education and Prevention Programs In compliance with the DFSCA, Wagner College will provide ongoing education and prevention programs to inform students and employees about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, the college’s policy regarding the prohibition of marijuana, and the resources available for those seeking help with substance abuse issues. Review and Updates Updates will be made as necessary to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Intellectual Property The College does not permit the recording, dissemination, or publication of academic presentations (including handwritten notes) for a commercial purpose without advance authorization of the course instructor. Further, the unauthorized use of academic or non-academic materials produced by other students is strictly prohibited. Multimedia 1. A student is prohibited from filming, recording or photographing any other individual without their consent. 2. Recordings, tapings and/or photographs may not contain violations of Wagner College policies. 3. Engaging in an act of harm, harassment, and/or defamatory or slanderous speech, through computers, cell phones, apps, and other electronic devices and software is prohibited. 4. Installation of cameras, recording, and/or security devices on Wagner College property is prohibited. Non-Solicitation To avoid disruption of business operations or disturbance of faculty, staff, students, and visitors, the College has a Non-Solicitation Policy prohibiting solicitation, except under limited circumstances with prior written approval from the Dean of Campus Life Office. Solicitation includes canvassing, soliciting or seeking to obtain membership in or support for any organization, requesting contributions, and posting or distributing handbills, pamphlets, petitions and the like of any kind on College property or using College resources (including without limitation bulletin boards, computers, mail, email, and telecommunication systems and domain names, photocopiers, and telephone lists or databases). Commercial solicitation means peddling or otherwise selling, purchasing, or offering goods and services for sale or purchase, distributing advertising materials, circulars, or product samples, or engaging in any other conduct relating to any outside business interests, for profit, personal economic benefit on College property, or using College resources. Solicitation performed through verbal, written, or electronic means are covered by the Non-Solicitation Policy. Items to be distributed or offered for sale which contain College trademarks, names (including building names), or design elements (t-shirts, posters, etc.) must be approved by the Dean of Campus Life Office and/or the Communications Office. Fundraising on campus grounds is only permitted through a registered student organization. A student organization that wishes to fundraise must have approval from the Director of Student Engagement & Activities.
