H ERE IT IS, THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. I hope everyone is staying dry and warm. SAVTA and IAAL are busy getting all the details of their conven- tions taken care of. SAFETECH is coming up fast: April 7-12 in Lexington, KY. It is shaping up to be a really big deal this year. It is an anniversary event, and many really cool things are planned. Look for more information online at SAVTA.org and ALOA. org. Registration is now open, so hurry to register, and don’t forget to book your hotel room. Those always sell out. There are many classes that would benefit those just starting to learn more about safe work, so this is a great event to attend. IAAL Auto Lock Expo May 14-17 will be the second International Associ- ation of Automotive Locksmiths (IAAL) Auto Lock Expo convention. The first had many outstanding classes, and this year’s event will be no different. Plan on making the bar scene after the classes. That is where many friendships are made and other great information is exchanged. If you just go to the classes and back to your room, you will miss out on a lot of extra education. This convention will be in Cedar Rapids, IA, which is a great city to visit. Our location is right by the river, and there are many things to do nearby. We will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Convention Complex. We’ll have the Kick-Off Party Friday night, and there will be a trade show Saturday. And do not forget the ALOA Convention & Secu- rity Expo August 3-9 in Orlando. We will return to the Hilton Orlando where we held the 2023 convention.
