6 KEYNOTES APRIL 2024 WWW.ALOA.ORG EXECUTIVE PERSPECTIVE B y now, you’ve seen the changes in magazine publication, with the combined February/ March issue. You’ll also see in this issue how we have included the 2024 ALOA Convention & Security Expo brochure within the pages of the magazine instead of producing it as a stand-alone printed piece. The ALOA Board always makes chang- es thoughtfully when it comes to ALOA operations and programs, and these changes were no exception. When it be- came apparent that we needed to cut costs after some convention-related shortfalls post-pandemic, they decided that these would be part of the solution. We contin- ue to look for ways to be good stewards of your membership dollars while creating minimum impact to your benefits. In this case, you still get the printed brochure if you receive the printed mag- azine, and you can still download the electronic copy online as you’ve always been able to do — we’re just saving a bit of money. We’re always open to your feedback and questions; please contact member- [email protected] with any thoughts. Register for ALOA 2024 in Las Vegas While you look through the brochure, take a look at all of the wonderful classes available. You’ll see that ALOA Education has been hard at work to line up some new instructors and offerings to keep the line-up fresh and relevant for students. There are many automotive classes, plus selections for electronic locksmithing, safe work, business and investigative top- ics, and more. There’s truly something for everyone at this convention. It’s also your best chance all year to see products in person and get hands-on demonstrations while talking to suppliers one-on-one. There’s really no substitute for that! Plus, you can take advantage of so many show specials. And, even more, this is a place for ca- maraderie. This is where security profes- sionals can come together to share stories and bond, discuss the future of the indus- try, share solutions, provide feedback and so much more. We want you to feel truly a part of ALOA SPAI and to feel like you have a stake in its future and direction. Come be a part of this amazing event. You won’t regret it. Don’t Miss Out On SAFETECH!
