He left surrounded by the love of family, friends, neighbors and colleagues. He was a good and generous man who never realized his impact on everyone he encountered. Ken’s sense of humor and his ability to tell a tale attracted many fans. So, too, did his arcane profession as “yegg” or “box man.” People were enthralled to meet a real “safecracker” just like in the movies ... and his appearances on The Discovery Channel and other media outlets added to the story. He provided his skilled service to businesses and residents in San Francisco, the Peninsula and beyond. He was the safecracker people called when nobody else could do the job, and he took pride in those challenges, including acting as expert witness in legal cases. He had been a member of SAVTA since 1986. James P. Radack, RL, passed away Jan. 25, 2023, following a brief illness. He operated Radack’s Rapid Lock & Door Service in Waterford, CT, after retiring from the U.S. Navy at the rank of Commander after 31 years. He received the Navy Commendation Medal with a gold star, a National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star and a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with a Bronze Star. He graduated from Purdue University. Jim had been a member of ALOA from 2009 until 2014 a SAVTA member since 1997. IN MEMORIAM Thank You to Pop-a-Lock Northern Colorado and Lock Labs!
