This class will take the students through a complete disassembly of a couple different combination safe locks. We will change combinations and learn how to decode unknown combinations when you have access to the inside or the safe by looking through the change keyhole. We will also look at several different combination lock designs, with an emphasis on operation and service. This class is designed for the beginning technician as well as those who have some safe servicing experience but desire more knowledge. The hands-on portion will give the student valuable experience in installing locks, repairing hinges, retrofitting hardware, preventing door collapse, cutting doors and other profitable skills. Rust issues and thermal bow will also be addressed.
